Hi all. When we switched over to the work program I could not use my favorite headphones ever, the aluminum one that are like a stethoscope, because the connection is for the Philips unit. Anyway, I spent weeks looking for an adapter and a way to rig it up to work and have had no luck. I have been watching Ebay for a deal and still had no luck. I so do not want to pay another $30 something for another set of headphones at this point and I would rather buy some used if someone is no longer using them. I just need the aluminum stethoscope kind wtih a regular plug in that can go in the computer or speakers, not a round din or anything like that, just an old-fashioned stereo jack. This is my last-ditch effort before forking out the cash for a new pair. PM or email kprecup *at* comcast.net

I have the same problem Kelli. I have that funky plug on my headphones. I'm not using DQS yet, but I do have some other headphones to use--just not stethoscope. I did get a pair of stethoscope headphones with the standard plug. I hated them. The sound was horrible, very low-pitched and sounded like the dictator was in a tunnel. I think it had something to do with the cord/wire. These only had a single wire and the ones I use now have two (stuck together). I've used them before with a standard plug and the sound was fine. As a matter of fact, I know I have a pair somewhere but I cannot find them.
So, I'd be cautious if you're going to buy the stethoscope headphones. Have you tried Wal-Mart or Radio Shack to see if there's anything you could adjust to? I did try a pair of KOSS headphones. Great sound but they killed my ears.
Best of luck!
Laura
*Just noticed you posted this on 6/21. You've probably gotten headphones by now. I'll post anyway.

Hey! Those are my favorite type of headphones as well. I like them because they block ALL noise out. Mine went out not too long ago and my office does not carry them anymore so I had to order them myself. I found them at Office Direct on-line, however, had to pay 42.00 for them. Well worth it I think since I hate any other type of headphones.

Well, hubby ordered them and had them delivered cause he was sick of me obsessing about it. He got them from Transcriptiongear.com for $29 I think. I know that is where I got them before, I just did not want to pay again at this point if I could find an adapter, but there is not one to be had because it is a proprietary thing. Anyway, I highly recommend Transcriptiongear.com. I have used them for three or four headsets and footpedals over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Their prices on aluminum headsets are the cheapest I have found anywhere.

I need input on chairs. I need a new one and have found a site that has ergonomic chairs ranging from $99 to 600. Does anyone have any recommendations, experiences, etc.
