I keep thinking of the immortal words of our former vice president, Al Gore, when he spoke to the Dem. Nat'l Convention about winning, losing, and the "little known third option."
Some things that looked like they were going to turn out to be a Very Good Thing this week have utterly collapsed into a hopeless, irredeemable heap. Other things that sounded scary last week now look like this week's Good Thing.
I can say that MTs working for the largest company will have lots to be happy about if some discussions that have occurred this week come to fruition. Is that cryptic enough for you? If nothing else, I do believe in the future MTs transitioning to the company's preferred platform will have a much more pleasant training experience than many of us had in the past, especially with respect to proving one's ability to use the equipment by transcribing sample dictations.
Let me know your thoughts, please. I'd appreciate emails describing your training experience. Did your training include a manual, training video, and conference call? What was helpful? Were there any parts of the training that frustrated you? What would you like to see in their place?
If you work for DSG or Accuscribe, I invite you to post and tell what your training experience on the plaform was like.

Granny T, who has volunteered to moderate the Swap board, asks about the calendar function and wonders why we can't add information to it.
Well, we can. What sort of info should we have on the calendar? Do we want to celebrate birthdays?
If you would like to be remembered by your boardmates, send me a PM on the board and tell me your special day, month and day only, please! I'm also going to add the dates of the new AAMT classes. What else? If you think of anything, either post a reply to this topic or write to me: put Calendar in the subject line of your email or PM.

Now that a broken toe [happened Wednesday] will keep me closer to home for a bit, I'm planning to add some nice new content to the board, so do check back in a few days.
As always, thank you for your interest in the board and for your continued kind support.
