Hi Joi and everyone.
I am fairly new to MT and have not really challenged myself in line counts.
Because I am going to be starting a job that pays in a level system and focuses on lines per hour, I am taking a look at my lines per hour today.
I just did 80, and then 100 lines/hr. with no expansions at all and with 100% accuracy, typed every word. I also had no template, normals/standards.
Can someone tell me approximately how much I can estimate that to be with normals and a good word expansion program built up?
I will need 175 lines/hour to stay at the level I am hiring in at, and will have two months to achieve it while I am building my expander. Have no idea what type of expander yet. That will be my short-term goal. My long term-goal is 225-250/hour, which will raise my line count pay.
Thanks for any insight into this.
Also, I have agreed to work in two and four-hour stints (8 hours/day). Should I expect that my counts will go down a bit typing the four-hour stint? I would imagine I might get a little tired with no break, and not being used to more than two at a time.
