This is very elemental, but I really don't know what or where to look. I need to complete a form which asks for computer system information, i.e., processor speed, processor version, what kind of monitor VGA or SVGA, video color display, video resolution, and 4, 8, or 12 on CD-ROM. Where do I look for all of these? I have been under Control Panel and under each of what I believe to be the correct categories of hardware. Each question is multiple choice, and I do not see anything under Control Panel that matches any of the answers.
Thanks for your help.

Click on Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and finally System Information. You should be able to find most, if not all, system, software, and component information there. I think. I hope.

Do you know what operating system you're using? Is it Windows XP or 98 or...? In XP, just left click on Start then left click on My Computer, right click on your hard drive (typically C) then left click on System Information which should give you the info you're looking for.
Windows 98 is a little different -- your My Computer icon should be on your desktop -- double click on that then same as above, right click on C drive then left click on Systm Information.
Hope this helps.

I don't know why I bother trying to help on this board or any other. It's like I'm invisible or something. I think my time will be much better spent concentrating on my own work.
So long.

Oops. Scooby, if you check back in, I am very sorry. For some reason I did in fact miss your post. And, yes, it was helpful.
I still need to know video resolution (whatever that is) and information on my CD, whether a 4, 6, 8, or other (whatever that is), if someone can suggest the place for me to look.
I really do appreciate all your help.
